This is a wonderful ring that dates back to 1830-1850 from South Italy. It is crafted in 14 gold with beautiful black enamel pattern work. The front of the ring has a garnet in a flower setting design, and the back says in letters RICORDO, which means in Italian "remember". It was made to remember someone or something. It is beautifully made. The garnet has a beautiful vivid red color.
